Our book club works best when everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and participating in discussions. Members are encouraged to join conversations, ask questions, and offer their perspectives on the monthly selection. You do not have to finish every book or participate in every discussion to be part of the club. Some members prefer to read quietly and jump into the conversation when something sparks their interest, and that is perfectly fine.
We ask that all discussions remain respectful and thoughtful. Books can bring out strong opinions, and differing viewpoints are part of what makes conversations interesting. When sharing your thoughts, focus on discussing the ideas in the book rather than criticizing other members’ opinions. Listening with curiosity and responding with kindness helps create a space where everyone feels comfortable speaking up.
Because members read at different speeds, please be mindful of spoilers. If you are discussing major plot points, character reveals, or the ending, clearly mark your comments so others can choose when they are ready to read them. This allows everyone to participate in discussions without having key moments of the story unintentionally revealed.
Most importantly, our goal is to maintain a welcoming and inclusive community. Everyone brings different reading tastes, backgrounds, and perspectives to the group, and those differences enrich the experience for all of us. By keeping conversations respectful, open-minded, and supportive, we ensure the club remains a place where people enjoy discovering new books and connecting with fellow readers. 📚
